The hotel is about a 1 minute walk to the subway, a 24hr supermarket, bagel shop, a bar across the street, & Starbucks are close by. It is located in a safe, comfortable neighborhood. And a short walk to one of the largest Gothic churches in the world Cathedral of Saint John the Divine with an amazing Peace Fountain statue, yer trip to NYC isn’t complete without being there! This hotel has top notch friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. There’s a nice big lounge area as well. My room was clean with fresh linens, and towels, and there was also housecleaning. Absolutely no complaints, i would definitely recommend.
Close to Columbia University and just two blocks from the metro 1-line at 103rd. Great door security and very clean. Good water pressure in shower. Helpful front desk staff and friendly maids. Comfy pillows and beds. Half kitchen though with only microwave and one fridge. No onsite laundry, but there are plenty of places to eat and get clothes done in neighborhood. Breakfast sold.
The staff was excellent. The hotel was clean except for the shared bathrooms. I thought they should have left a spray bottle of disinfectant so you could spray the shared shower floor and toilet seat off in between people. The elevator only holds 2 to 3 people. They had enough employees to help with bags but they never ask you if you would like help. There is no valet service so in the rain you have to park your car in a garage and walk. The garage is $50 per 24 hours. The view was okay and the temperature was great. They have the most comfortable beds and pillows i have ever slept on. They have a take one leave one library, a shared refrigerator and microwave, no coffee provided. They have a lady that comes in on the weekendvand sells breakfast items. Shared and comfy living room and computers. All in all it was okay.
The hotel was clean and our stay was overall quite good. However, the first night the heating broke (middle of a cold storm) and they were not equipped with enough blankets. They arranged it within a couple of hours. Also, the manager was notoriously hard to get a hold of, for weeks. Other than that, the staff was very helpful and the facilities were good. The location was also very convenient.
Decent hotel in northwest Manhattan. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was nice. The bathroom was very small and a bit old, but it served the purpose well.
It wasn’t bad for the price. Its pretty clean. Only set back was there elevator which they said wasn’t working..I wonder for how long this has been down. I hope they FIX IT!!!! I brought my mom with me she’s 70 years old and for a 70 yo to climb up a flight of stairs to get to the 4th floor is a heart attack.
The location of this hotel was extremely convenient. It has easy access to a subway station 2 blocks away and was within walking distance of Columbia. The rooms were perfectly acceptable for the price and the bathrooms were fine as well. The heating system was extremely noisy at night, but for the price I would say that this hotel is extremely reasonable in the quality it offers.
The room was small and there is nothing in the room. One really tiny side table and then a sink in the corner. Non refundable room and now I know why. Save your money. The smell alone will keep you away. This is no way to run a business.
Not a bad place to stay if you’re visiting the city on a budget. Reservations online require a card, but upon check-in you’ll learn they only accept cash. The lobby looks better than the rest of the place. The elevator is extremely small. Max of 5 people fit with no personal space. When you take the stairs it feels and looks like an old apartment. There are private rooms which include a bathroom, and basic rooms without bathrooms. The communal bathroom is located in the hallway, so it’s not room-to-room sharing. Although, if that’s an option I’m not aware of it. The private room was extremely small with just enough room to fit a double bed. The bathroom definitely felt cramped, but at least the essentials were provided. The room I stayed in didn’t have a TV and the view wasn’t anything special. The place is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk to the train station. I’d probably recommend this place as a last minute stay, or for anyone who wanted to stay in Manhattan for cheap.
Was in NYC for a weekend and needed a cheap but nice place to stay, Broadway was perfect, very clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly service and very helpful staff, would recommend this place to anyone looking to do Manhattan on a budget without compromising quality
